New Setup for my  Homalopsis buccata. The rack is 4' wide and the tubs are 39" x 18" x 7" with a 3-4" water level.

This setup allows 3 per cage, and is maintained on a single ~65gal water system.

Bottom shelf with extra support underneath houses the xP2 filter and a 45gal. sump. Directly above the filter is a green pH monitor.

The manifold pictured allows one pump to independently supply water to each cage. The red ball valve is the drain for the semi-auto water change.

Left side of the sump showing the Quiet One 3000 pump and one of 2 Penguin 1140 powerheads that operate the undergravel filter.

Right side of the sump showing the other powerhead and the Kent Float valve used for semi-auto water changes.

Shows the intake and return plumbing for the xP2 canister filter. This filter is only plumbed into this cage, but filters the entire system.

Shot of the warm side. The lamps are 60w on a dimmer. The Hot spot is set for ~90-95F.

The lamps are dimmed down to produce this amount of heat, and they are probably only running at about 20w.

This is the Lg screen covered hole that I cut out with a dremel to accommodate the heat lamps. I glued the wood spacers on with Gorilla Glue which only works so-so for this.

The Lg hole from the inside and the silicone job that holds the screen in place.

This is the cool side. I just drilled out a couple of 4" holes with a hole saw and siliconed screen over them. The little blue dot is tells me where to replace the paper clamp - it covers the dot.

A shot of the cool side screen, holes, etc. Notice the Paper clip hook used to hold the top up.

A better shot of the paper clip hook and holes, screen, silicone job.

Just hangin' out takin' it easy while waiting on the next meal.

Cool side drain and xP plumbing

Same.

Just cruisin' around.

Warm side showing the pump return and the 75w heater. Each cage has its own 75w heater.

Just inspecting to make sure everything is in order.

Just a general view of the warm side.

"Hey, Boss, How about some food......???"

"First fish in is Mine!! Muahaaaaaa!"

"Can Ya See me now?"

Just a cool shot.

Cool, but messed up.

Puff - faced water snakes everywhere! But that's only about half. Right now the other half are in the cage below. I will split them into trios later.

I will be adding a substrate later on, but right now I like being able to see the snakes from underneath.
